X-Mas List Time

So the last few years when I have asked one of my parent's advice on what to get them for Christmas, they always reply with, "You need to get us a list."  Well this proves every year to be difficult.  I don't really know why.  I guess at Christmas I want to think of things that I would not buy myself but would like.  It is really hard.  Usually I just end up telling them to surprise me, and give them a list of little stuff like some CDs or last year I requested pocket size Kleenex.  This year I am again at a loss.  I really have everything I need.  A roof over my head, a job, a car that works, all my snowshoeing stuff.  I don't really know what I am going to tell them this year.  I guess I need to do some soul searching.  It is always really hard because I don't want to seem snobbish in what I want or in any way gimmie, gimmie.  I don't know.  I really love giving gifts, but when it comes to figuring out what I want, that always proves to be a little more difficult.

  1. I keep an ongoing list throughout the year of things I would like, but can't usually justify buying for myself. Then, if an opportunity comes up (Christmas, Birthday, promotion or bonus) I have a few things to choose from. On my list right now is an iTrip for my car, "America: The Story of Us" series, and my own luggage set to name a few. Maybe this will help spark some ideas...
