Adventures

So this thing is supposed to be about my adventures too.  Not just ramblings.  Well summer has began and so that means lots of adventures.  Number one on the adventure  list is concerts.  Last week I went with my friend Shawna to see Freelance Whales.  I found out about them while listening to songs from the SXSW festival.  I fell in love and when I saw they were coming to kilby I was able to get my graduation assignment switched so I could fulfill that and then go to the show.

The first band was okay but Freelance Whales were awesome.  Their sound is invading.  Close my eyes and all I can feel is the music, not in the way when the bass is too loud, but in the way where the music becomes part of you.  It is an experience.  It was amazing.  I love going to shows, I don't really like the crowds, but I brave them to experience.  I love doing things.  I love going to concerts, going outdoors.  Last weekend was national trails day.  I volunteer each year and clean up trails in Sandy.  I figure I use them enough it is good to give back.  We created a whole new trail and I met some very inspiring women.  I usually go by myself to force socialization.  It always ends up being really good.  These women reminded me who I want to become as I get older.  I also worked on sewing a diaper bag for my friend this week.  It has turned out really cute.  I will post pictures later, but it is really cute.  I can't put them up until I give it to her.  I love making things for my friends.  As for my book of this month, I am having a hard time deciding.  I want to pick something that I can easily get done on 8 hours worth of plane rides and another couple of hours in the airport.  I'm off the Florida on Monday for an adventure.  I even got a new swim suit for it.  Here's to meeting a cute guy on the beach...
