Book of the Month

So its the end of the month and its time to report on my book I read for this month.  I actually read two books this month.  The second book I read in two days.  The first book was From Russia with Love by Ian Flemming.  It was very good, entertaining, and fast paced.  And of course, who does not like James Bond in all his awesomeness.  It was nice to escape into a world other than my own for a few minutes and get caught up in the fast paced life of a spy.

The second book reminded me that there is wisdom in the most unlikely of places.  I read the Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff.  I teach my students about Daoism and in order to help them understand I use Winnie the Pooh as my example.  This book explains how Pooh bear is an example of a Daoist.  Daoism is concerned with finding the way and following natural law for the life of least resistance and ultimately happiness because Daoists are always positive.  And who does not  like to be happy and positive.
