So I know that it is now March and I have not posted a book of the Month. This sad news is due to the fact that when January rolled around I could not pick one book, so I started 3. My goal is to read all the books on my shelf that I have not read yet, which is quite a few. The fact of it is I own too many books for my shelf. Probably too many books for anyone's good, but I love it. If you know me, you know I can not resist a book store of any kind, hence I own too many books. It was so hard, when I heard that Borders was closing the store closest to me, to not go and spend my whole month's paycheck on books. But I did resist and that means I can eat this month and I don't have to live off of words alone.
Now back to the whole book of the month thing. I picked three books. The Rape of Europa about Hitler's quest for art during World War II, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, and Dubliners by James Joyce. So I am all over the board. I have not finished one yet, but since starting those I also started City of Thieves. This book is about Russians during WWII and the siege of Leningrad. So as anyone can see I am swamped by books. Let's hope I finish them all soon. I just need to read more!
Those ones about WWII sound good. If they are you should share :)
