Why I became a teacher.

It commenced snowing on late Saturday night. It has yet to stop. I also just found out that next Christmas school goes until December 23. Yes that is the day before Christmas Eve. I became a teacher for many reasons but one at the top of my list was LONG breaks. Now getting out of school the day before Christmas Eve does not constitute a long break.I know some people would suggest I not complain, I get all summer off. But teachers need breaks. Breaks help us recoup from dealing with 120 15 and 16 year olds a day. Now, don't get me wrong, I love my job. But I suggest a protest, letter writing campaign, a soap box. Call for Change!
