The Countdown

So I have officially started my end of the year countdown. Only 7 more days. I decided to start now because seven is a manageable number. It is less than what I have on my two hands and does not take a mouth full to say, such as eleventy-thirteen or such. I love the last few days of school, I am almost done with grading and all my lessons are planned for a very long time into the future. I also have big plans this summer . . . (for reference see two posts ago). And one of those plans is fast approaching commencement. So, I guess what I am trying to say is that I love countdowns. Anticipation and preparation make for half the fun. The countdown gives me something to look forward to, and right now that is camping. I had a student tell me yesterday that they went down to southern Utah for their Memorial Weekend getaway. She told me that while there I crossed her mind. She said she could see me there because I love to camp and stuff. Funny, I guess the camping/outdoors side of me comes out in class. Had no idea, maybe its the chaco's every day or the North Face!
